Hello, first time here. Did anyone notice higher blood pressure w/the byetta? Mine went up like 20 and I was starving about an hour after eating?

  5. toneylee in va says:

Deb: That is odd, and I don’t know why it happened. Several folks noticed improved BP over time. Don’t remember anyone who was starving. Come over to the Byetta forum to talk more - it gets regular traffic. Link is in column #8 to the right.

I know that diabetes can’t be cured but it can be controlled and since mine is in an early phase I was thinking to try alternative medicine instead of the traditional one. I am buying herbs and vitamins cheap from a store and I’m spending less each months. The pills the doctor prescribed cost a fortune. Has anyone else tried using plants instead of medicaments?

    Johanna,

As for herbs and vitamins Make sure you are monitored VERY CLOSELY by your Doctor. The consequences of self medication can be dier.

I don’t know what med’s your doctor wants you to take but Metformin is a basic med for Type 2 and mine is only 4 dollars a month AT Walmart and many other pharmacies.
