2 - FRENCH PANCAKES AKA CREPES:

Proceed cautiously if you are going to try that recipe.
It's old hand written recipes book and it had about three lines. I had to improvise and as Dr. Bill mentioned, it was changed a few times as I kept finding that I had not been very clear.

I personally rarely follow a recipe. I usually just play it by ear. (Comment this)

3 - DONNA'SBLINTZES;

I LOVE THEM!. I've never made them.

Will I find them on the dessert table along wit the mandelbread ? I will have the blintzes first and then
my favorite cherry pie with homemade flaky crust and gobs of whipped cream...then piece of mandelbread and then on to a taste of all the desserts that Danielle mentioned.

Since this is a cyber buffet, we never feel full and the calories, fats and carbs don't count!!!

BTW, The buffet has been moved here because a post about it there yesterday was considered "off Topic".

Can't wait to hear what's at the pasta table..and we can't forget the appetizers.

That was great Donna! I did not deserve the praise, however.

About my baking..I never do, because you have to measure
and that never works when you prefer to play it by ear!

the second recipe came from a real cookbook.. the first one was just a three line scratch in ny favorites handbook. You are the pastry chef in lizard land so you won't have a problem even improving on it.

Fume' tried to wake me at about three, but I put him off until five. Just got to the computer now...have to feed the five kitties , clean two giant litter boxes, and then put food more out for the poor suffering homeless kitties.
There was a skunk freeloader out there last night and a stragler Raccoon this morning ( He must have had insomnia.)

This Island just feels more comfortable. Lots of funny coconuts, akitties, limericks and just plain fun.

Fluffernutter sonds like she is a very precious sweetie.
Is she keeping her weight down? I have been warned about my oldest kittie, Phantom who is 17lbs. and at risk for feline diabetes. He is a big cat, but qverweight as well.
He loves food..who doesn't?

Hopefully Cindylou will be back with her southern bells on today.

I hope that other gillyspitkins who like to smile and give smiles, will join us here also..if they can navigate well.

Getting back to the kitties. My Fume'likes to eat organic romaine lettuce..just the greens part and he likes chopped carrots as well. Merlot, the other young one( they are one and a half year old siblings,)eats a little lettuce but also likes salmon as a treat.

Hopefully our kitty chat will go unbleaped at this Island.

Speaking of grapes..we need a fruit table for those of us that still can;t feel comfortable getting into those gooey, sugarie amazing desserts, even though they are made with cberspace ingredients.

Keep those tables our of the hot FL sun or we will have fondued furniture that we can wrap around the strawberries. I would love some blueberry pancakes to go with that bacon. Now go back and try some of that stuffed turkey and I'm sure all the trimmings are there too!
